Online CAT coaching is the new “NEW”. With specific features like, live interactive sessions, 24*7 doubt solving , complete guidance throughout preparations and flexible working hours, online CAT coaching has created a separate space in the education sector. One such example is Elites grid, it is one of the pioneer institutes for online CAT preparation. It is one of those startups that has brought a revolution in the methodology of the education sector. This article refers to the CAT journey of Yugant Nayak, a student of elites grid who has recently converted his dream college, I.I.F.T.

CAT PREPARATION JOURNEY OF YUGANT NAYAK
It was 18th April 2019 when it all happened. I was returning from the office when I got a call from a friend who informed me about I.I.F.T. declaring its results. Parking my bike by the side of the road, I downloaded the two PDFs and tried to search my name. Alas! No Results Found! My heart sank. I had somehow tried giving a hit at CAT and all other entrance exams just one year back. But that did not suffice.
I started doubting myself and asked myself, “Can I ever make it to a premier management institute?” (for an average sensible Indian that simply means getting the I.I.M and I.I.F.T). But a person’s character isn’t defined by how he or she savors victory, but rather how he or she swallows defeat. So, I thought of giving it another try and adding that elite ‘Indian Institute’ tag to my back, which many people vaguely crave.
A friend recommended me, an online CAT coaching, Elites Grid, and I decided to join it in its 2nd batch. Starting off, I was a bit cautious of online tutoring and especially online CAT coaching, as I was not so sure of it. But having attended the first class of Set Theory by His Almighty, Hunny Sir, I was sure I had made the right choice. Quantitative aptitude was my Achilles Heel, and I knew that I would finally cross this barrier with the guidance of Hunny Sir and Elites grid practice manuals. Hunny Sir made sure to stress on important points, and some techniques like MPG made Quantitative aptitude looks really doable. He used to reiterate every critical point, and the precise explanations of the problems helped in my Cat preparation. Rest assured, if you are joining Elites Grid, you can heave a sigh of relief that your Quantitative aptitude preparation will be taken care of.
Coming to the second part LR DI, there is only one thing you can do in this section-PRACTICE. Gaurav Sir helped a lot with his LR DI sets, and I would recommend everyone to solve his LR DI playlist on Youtube at least twice.
Now, the last part of any aptitude exam is your ‘English’ skills. Thank God I was pretty equipped in this part, as I had a strong foundation in the language. But Hold your Horses Man! Cat’s VA RC part has nothing to do with your communication and strong debating powers. It needs voracious reading, extensive RC and para-jumble practice (especially VA RC sectionals). Elites grid was not less even in this ground. They conducted relentless facebook events and practice sessions to keep us going.
So, Until the day of CAT, Hunny Sir, Gaurav Sir, Sushant Sir, Shahzar Sir, and I was stuck in there, giving numerous mocks and sectionals and analyzing them properly.
After CAT, I started preparing for my dream college-I.I.F.T. without wasting any more time. Thankfully after giving all the exams and getting a good percentile in both CAT and I.I.F.T., I started preparing for the interviews. Trust me when I say this, Exams will take you to the institute’s gate, but Interviews open the institute’s gate for you.
